Working at the direction of the voters, Plainfield Veterans' Service Memorial Committee has, with the assistance of the landscape architectural firm of Saucier and Flynn of Lebanon, NH, developed a memorial honoring all Plainfield residents who have served our country. The memorial does not attempt to list individuals who have served our nation, but rather is intended to be a place of reflection on the importance of all forms of service and the commitment to our country that service represents.

See the memorial design layout (479 KB).

Our goal is to begin construction of the memorial in the Spring of 2008. The committee has set a goal of raising $40,000 for the project. Please consider making a donation to this important project. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Plainfield, Service Memorial Project, and forwarded to the Town Office at 110 Main Street, PO Box 380, Meriden, NH 03770.

The Plainfield Select Board provides support for the Service Memorial.
